Outdoor Learning

Over the summer break, a new outdoor classroom was erected on our school site.  The classroom, which has been jointly funded by The Friends and The Blake Educational Trust, will be used by all children.

Core curriculum lessons will take place in the classroom, as well as it being a space that can be used for PSHE lessons, Collective Worship and reflection times.

Our Year 2 children are enjoying a day a week, for six weeks, at Cogges Manor Farm exploring nature and tackling their curriculum learning in creative ways.

The curriculum is increasingly challenging for primary aged children. Our collaboration with Cogges Manor Farm is an extension of the work we are doing on site in our new outdoor classroom to promote mental health and enable children to learn in new and creative ways.
